Hi there! I am Jen, owner and photographer of Jen Swedhin Photography. While I have been a natural light portrait and wedding photographer for several years, I made the leap to studio boudoir and contemporary glamour photography in 2012. Over the last year I made a lot of changes, moved into a new studio, and started offering all new products and sessions. I’m beyond excited to finally be shooting exactly what I love and only what I love – boudoir, beauty and glamour sessions!
I’m not just a face behind a camera. I’m just like you. I am a mother of three, a wife, a daughter, a sister, and a friend. I have tattoos and crazy hair. I have a love hate relationship with food. I love eating it and was just kidding about the hate part. After my family, my friends are some of the most important parts of my life. After losing someone I love last year, I know the importance of living life at 100%. If you like Flight of the Conchords or Adam Sandler we are sure to be good friends. I love green beans, my dogs and the color turquoise. Not so much a fan of mopping or Walmart.
And just like you, I have struggled with myself. Not being enough, not being everything, not being perfect, not loving myself, not being confident, and not living out my dreams. Just like you, being a mom comes first. Then a wife. Then a friend/daughter/sister. Then a business owner. Then myself. That doesn’t leave a lot of time for feeling great, or doing the simple things in life, like bubble baths. And that’s why I am a boudoir photographer. Because if you can make a few hours for me, I can make you feel like supermodel. And that lasts and lasts. You will get the images to prove it. I’ve been in front of the camera. See those photos down at the bottom of the page, there? Yeah, that’s me. I’ve been exposed and vulnerable. I’ve also experienced the amazing and totally unexpected confidence boost that came from my own boudoir session. You can have that, too.
I don’t care about your stretch marks. Your new breakout. Your love handles. Your 10/20/50 extra pounds. Your inability to model or make a sexy face. None of that matters when you step into the studio. I think you are amazing. Whether it is your sense of humor, your great butt, those toned arms, your inner artist, or your secret sex kitten attitude – I want to see it! And I want to remind you that no one else can be as awesome at being you as you can.
