Here are a few before and afters – all done in Lightroom. By the way, isn’t Brecken the cutest with those chubby cheeks?
Camera: Canon 5D
Lens: 85mm 1.8
ISO: 320
Aperture: f/2.5
Shutter: 1/400
This first image is straight out of camera (SOOC), no editing done:
This one has sharpening, and my own boosting preset, which added a bit of fill light, increased the blacks, and adds a bit of sharpening. Sometimes minor adjustments can make a big difference. All of the next edits will build on this one.
For this edit I increased the sharpening a bit more, bumped the exposure, fill light and blacks, and adjusted the hue of the highlights and shadows to produce the bluish-green overlay.
This is one of my favorite black and whites – high brightness, high contrast, strong vignette.
For this I used the Xanadu|Medium preset from Totally Rad! Effects. I love how soft and smooth it makes everything look – I also cropped in closer so you could see those sparkly eyes.
I hope you are enjoying your Sunday!
